In order to create an homogeneous work band, the BAMBOO ORCHESTRA sets up at first some sensitization workshops in different parts of the city and the department (schools, spare-time centres, cultural centres, youth club and arts centres…). Then it proposes to the volunteers to join the "Pousses de Bamboo Orchestra" and to practise every week in the Bamboo Orchestra's workshop at the Friche La Belle de Mai on saturday afternoons. The Pousses de Bamboo Orchestra play in public during events as the Fête de la Musique, Fête de quartier, festivals pour les jeunes… This band is currently made up of 20 children who are between 8 and 18 years old. The musicians of the BAMBOO ORCHESTRA are very confident in this young band; this workshop is free and function only with the children's desire and motivation.The City of Marseille actively supports this workshop and the Conseil Général of the Bouches du Rhône…
