From the 17th to the 28tthof July 2001, the city of Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovia) welcomes the 10th edition of the Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean.

Sarajevo chose the theme of "Chaos et communication"

Thus, 600 young creators under 30 years of age from 22 countries of the Mediterranean basin will represent their city in 8 artistic disciplines, confronting their works and experiences.

The Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean is a large multicultural festival providing an assessment of young Mediterranean creation every two years. After Barcelona, Thessalonia, Bologna, Marseilles, Valencia, Lisbon, Turin, and Rome, Sarajevo is the next organizer, a sign of optimism for the new millennium for a city which was at the heart of a war not so long ago.
