If she had to sum up her method, Marion Mahu would undoubtedly say that was a matter of " dealing with nonsense, no matter how pitiful ". Whence this enigmatic confrontation of a couple attempting to spit in each other's faces as their sole communication, with the spittle only returning to its sender. The couple is the alibi, the least common denominator a human relation", she argues. "They're supposed to build something together, but they don't ". So much for the protagonists. As for the inspiration, it came from the Koran.
" The common thread throughout my work is writing.

Authors touching on the absurd and its derivatives: Gombrowicz, Beckett, Camus...They observe human decadence, but without moral judgement. They say: That's where we are, we can be so low... " In her videos, she often submits herself to humiliating situations she imagines to describe this "human culture".
Facing the camera, she lets herself be mistreated by two hands which deform her face, consenting to the "the first one to laugh..." goatee tugging game.
Comment: " Like in Gombrowicz, barbarism can spring from play or mimicry. Here, one no longer knows what to do: is it masochism? I like it when things start as a joke and end up causing concern."
