Workshop 5
Economy and organisation of projects
The systems for production of artistic works put in place in these initiatives
all have one factor in common: great economic uncertainty. What forms
of operation and of organisation are invented to bring these projects
to life? What financial, regulatory and legislative answers may be provided
to assist these projects?
Workshop 6
Finding a place in the local area
When artists' collectives or cultural ventures become involved in a local
setting and a local history, they often contribute to transformation of
the local environment. What are their specific features with respect to
architectural and urban classification of spaces? What responses do they
provide to the property issues? How do they contribute to regional development
and to local development?
Workshop 7
The role of the audience and public
Systems for public performance, dissemination and creation call into
question the idea of spectator and the status of the artistic works. How
is the public taken into account through these experiments? What are the
new ways and means of involvement, appropriation and participation of
local communities?
Workshop 8
Artistic and cultural cooperation,
exchange and dissemination
Opening to the world, artistic cooperation schemes and exchanges are
very strong features of all these projects. Apart from the circulation
and dissemination of artistic works, what other significant aspects of
economic, political and identity issues are developed by international
artistic exchanges? What challenges are faced by the artists and their
hosts? What are the local impacts of these exchanges and coopération
schemes?
