¿Qué es Eje siete? / What is Eje 7?

Es una nueva vía para ejercer, presentar y entender el arte y la cultura en la Ciudad de México.
It’s a new way to practice, present, and understand art and Culture in Mexico City.

Abre una nueva ruta para financiar el arte contemporáneo, privilegiando aspectos como el discurso urbano, nuevos lenguajes, la calidad artística, la interdisciplina, el uso de nuevas tecnologías aplicadas al arte y el intercambio con entidades de otros países.
It opens a new route for financing contemporary art, favouring some of it’s particular aspects, such as urban discourse, new languages, artistic quality, inter-discipline practice, the use of new technologies applied to art, and a cultural interchange with foreign entities.

Agrupa una gran diversidad de expresiones culturales independientes, creando una Interfase entre las diferentes disciplinas artísticas y su integración al contexto social y urbano.
It joins a great diversity of independent cultural expressions, creating an interface between different artistic disciplines and there integration to the social and cultural context.

Espacios / Spaces
Eje 7 cuenta con un edificio de 4500m2 ubicado en el centro histórico de la Ciudad de México.
Este espacio albergará laboratorios creativos, oficinas administrativas, espacios de ensayo, talleres y estudios, hostal y locales comerciales.
Además se cuenta con un terreno de 2500m, ubicado en la avenida EJE 7, al sur de la Ciudad, para construir foros propios.
Eje 7 has a 4500 m2 building located down town in Mexico City.
This space will harbour creative laboratories, administrative offices, spaces for rehearsal, workshops and studios, a lodge and commercial premises.
In addition to this, Eje 7 owns 2500 m2 of land on Eje 7 Avenue, in the south of the city, that will be used to build its own facilities.
